When Jean-Pierre approached Luc to ask him if he knew anyone who could be project manager for a Vendée Globe project in 2004, his did not take long to come up with someone : « Why me, of course ! » They got to know each other as students in the HEC business school. Just like Jean-Pierre, Luc gave it all up for sailing. « The whole story gave me stuff to dream about. I too chucked in my career to join him. » They have become inseparable and consult each other for everything. Specifically in charge of financial matters, Luc liaises with partners.

Nicolas and Jean-Pierre won together the Tour de France à la voile in 2001 and the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2003. In 2002, Nicolas took part in the conception and construction of Jean Pierre first Open 60, Virbac – Paprec. Since January 2009, Nicolas has picked up again technical director role, taking advantage of both competences: sailor and technician to manage the conception and construction of Jean Pierre Dick’s new Open 60. |  |  |  | Philippe Echassoux, Rigger
After some years working with Alain Gautier, Philippe joined the team at the Automn 2007. Philippe is in charge of the mast, the sails, the rig and the hydraulics. |  |  |  | Florence Juillard, Accounting
After some years spent working in different field in the Lorient aera, Florence begun to work in the nautical sector in 2007. She joined the Paprec-Virbac Sailing team in June 2008. She is in charge of the administrative tasks and of the food for the boat. |  |  |  | Xavier Croset, Boat builder
Xavier joined the team back in 2004, at the same time as Luc Bartissol. He is in charge of composites and laminates. Xavier also works on the hydraulics and mechanics. Xavier helps Luc in the technical team organisation. |  |  |  | Jean Yves Gau, Maintenance of deck gear and electronics
Jean-Yves has been with the team since 2003. His expert knowledge in electronics and telecommunications put him in charge of onboard. Engine power and deck hardware are also his responsibility. Jean Yves is the skipper in case of Jean-Pierre’s absence. |  |  |  | Alexis Aveline, Development

Romain works in coordination with Luc to run daily operations. In charge of the website, he also helps JP to manage the logistic and sportive part of his job. With a wholly professional approach to sailing singlehanded, Jean-Pierre wish not to negligate any domain of competencies in his preparation.Everything has been calculated and analysed. A rigorous and instinctive preparation where nothing was left to chance. Thus a team of expert help him in such different field as: nutrition, mental preparation… Members of this team are: Eve Tiollier: Nutritionist. Damien Leger: Sleep Specialist, Clinique du Sommeil, Hotel Dieu, Paris. François Duforez, Doctor specialised in sport. Jean-Marc Lhabouz: Mental coach. Jean Senges: entertrainer. CERS Cap Breton: A place to train for Jean-Pierre. |  |
